Chili Dog is the one of the most amazing and remarkable horses that we have had the privilege of saving and serving. He is a spectacular buckskin gelding with a foal date of 2002. Standing just a bit over 14.2 hh, he has the most amazing conformation, breathtaking head, and indescribable intelligent eye. He has suffered unthinkable abuse, and yet is very kind and gentle. He is a bit dominant with other horses, and is best not pastured in a potentially competitive environment. He is seeking a gentle home where he will be both admired and respected. We think this horse is on in a million and have tons of energy to find him a wonderful second chance where he will be cherished. He is currently a companion and not ready for adoption.
We absolutely cannot take our eyes off of this magnificent horse. Chili Dog came to us late last week as a hard to catch stallion. We gelded him and are already delighting in his sweet nature…and extraordinary intelligence. He loves to have his forehead rubbed and adores a good crest scratch. He is a horse that we would consider very high risk…but this morning, as he enjoys his steamy warm mash in a toasty stall, the only risk is ours…as all of the Red Riding Hoods risk their hearts as we fall hopelessly head over heals in love! Oh, and if you wonder about his name, our head trainer Kimberly insisted, she seems to be heading up his fan club, big time!
