He had been impeccably bred, his father a world class champion. He had also been roped, tied down…castrated without dignity or painkillers, branded, and tied to and dragged behind a tractor in order to “teach” him to lead. To add to the senseless madness, they sent him straight to an auction where horses are sold to  kill buyers by the pound. Today he is learning to trust…and be trusted. Rather than fear and cower, he is shyly anticipating Lauren’s daily visits and her invitation of friendship. They have been doing join up exercises under the mentorship of Red Bucket Head Trainer Kimberly Fohrman. Today, Lauren put her first ride on Playboy, who seemed pretty darn proud of what a very good boy is…and always was.
