While spring may bring showers, flowers and the miracle of new life….it is in the Autumn that we tearfully (and responsibly) wean our babies from their Momma’s and prepare them for independent, healthy, and productive lives. Winni, Coco, …and little Joey spent their first night as “big kids” in our newly appointed nursery (right next to the “paint department” which houses the two bff paints, Mozart and Cody Oats). We can declare the first night safely under our belts, but we aren’t sure if the separation was harder on us…..or Elliot, our patriarch (yup, basically BOSS donkey) who kept the entire farm awake calling for little Coco and Joey to return to the herd. With the over-protectiveness of a mother duck, and the loyalty of a lion, we continue to peak around the corner to ensure that our youngsters, and their moms are weathering the storm of this next chapter safely and with as little stress as possible. One thing is for certain, these three little ones, once unwanted, now have an entire community of friends and family, peaking, texting,.. and calling to make sure our babies are ok. They are…and they are also wanted
