One of the original 42 horses rescued by Red Bucket Equine Rescue
in 2009…Sampson is a gorgeous Irish Thoroughbred…tall,
handsome and ready to take his next amazing step into his loving
and forever home!
Sampson was born to stand out in a crowd. He is a deep mahogany
dappled bay Irish Thoroughbred. He is impeccably bred with a
pleasant and alert expression and a bright-eyed look in his warm
brown eyes. Sampson is charming and smart with personality plus!
He is a horse who thrives on being noticed. The first horse you see
when entering the barn at Red Bucket is Sampson. There he is…in
all of his glory…right in the middle! If at first one has not noticed his
presence, he can be found sticking out his tongue which usually gets
the attention he craves rather quickly! In the words of Red Bucket
trainer Shona Barnthouse, “He is spectacular! Such a fancy and
incredible boy, he is the whole package!”
With a horse of such magnificence, one has to ask how he made his
way to Red Bucket. Sampson was among an elite circle of
magnificent Thoroughbreds who had been part of a breeding scandal.
This batch of horses was found at a facility where they were starved
and in the most horrendous stage of neglect. On the verge of being
shipped to slaughter, Red Bucket stepped up and did the right thing
by committing to all of them the promise of a forever home.
Part of the Red Bucket promise is to properly train our horses in
preparation for their forever home. Sampson is a very well trained
horse who excels as a Hunter but is also trained in Western and trail.
With a confident and polished rider, Sampson can definitely excel in
the show ring. “I love this horse,” says Shona. “He is a dream to ride,
beautiful and intelligent.” He has a fantastic work ethic and gives you
his all.
Sampson is a lovely minded horse. He tries to do anything asked of
him with a willing heart and attitude. His extra-big persona and playful
disposition make him even more lovable to anyone who knows or
works with him on the Ranch. Magnificence, personality plus and a
huge heart make Sampson an incredible horse for anyone interested
in the best of the best!
