In May of 2009 River was facing death. He was starving, hopeless and shattered. Red Bucket rescued him just hours from the imminent and very real threat of a one-way trip to a Mexican slaughter plant. That was then…this is now. He is loved, happy, thriving…and home. Sierra adopted River from Red Bucket six years ago, and yes, forever really does mean forever. We recently reached out to Sierra and River, and this photo is what Sierra sent back. Oh, and Sierra loves her horse. He is, after all, “the best horse on the world.” And yes, River loves Sierra, too. Oh, and for the great many of you who have adopted one of “the Irish”; Finbar, Willow, King, Guinness, Magnum, Dashiel, Piper, Striker, Kismet, Maleki, Secret, Valentine…so many brave horses who love to jump, and so very many loving homes!
