He had been advertised on Craig’s List as “Will trade for $200 worth of hay.” They had run out…and so had he…he was starving. Our rescue colleague and friend, Kristine, quickly paid the $200 and rescued the emaciated gelding. She brought him to Red Bucket in order for him to find his second chance, which he did….and he found also found love. Susanna found love as well, and as Timmy developed a gleam to his coat and a healthy layer of muscle to replace the protruding ribs, Susanna developed a bounce in her step, a lilt to her voice, and even was rumored to sing softly under her breath. She spent months grooming him, touching him, and assuring him that she was real and that his new life held love, security and private moments of love songs just for him. As Timmy regained his life, Susanna redefined hers. Red Bucket celebrates love, second chances, and kept promises. We wish Susanna and her perfect horse a happily ever after! They truly are the perfect match.
