There wasn’t a dry eye…well, maybe just one. We groomed him one last time, complete with hoof dressing and a bit of product in his little “fro”lock. His time with us was brief…it was meant to be. He is a pleaser. His gentle nature and overall kindness seems so much a part of him that it appears to be more DNA than training. But he is trained too…lovely in the arena…a gentleman on trail, and ground manners that might compel Emily Post to add a chapter to her book. We suppose, that Scout singlehandedly could change the definition of “unwanted” or “rescue”. Now he has his very own family who will cherish him and make him feel wanted every day. While none of the Red Riding Hoods had dry eyes…and Scouts new family certainly didn’t have dry eyes….but Scout’s eyes were bright and sparkled as he stepped off the trailer and into the arms of his very own family! Happy ever after Scout!
