Red Bucket Equine Rescue Forever Home Found – Frankie

Tragedy struck in Louis’s life when his beloved best friend, 30-year-old Elliot, died suddenly on Friday. Louis’s family, suffering greatly from the grief of losing a treasured family member, became deeply concerned about Louis’s despair, depression, and anguish. Ironically, the family had just toured Red Bucket a few days prior with their 8-year-old Emily who had donated her birthday gifts to help the horses. (Yes, another selfless child being raised by wonderful parents!) Sharing their concern for Louis’s broken heart, the Red Bucket team sprang into action, conducted a home visit…and selected the perfect new best friend for Louis…our own precious Frankie! Several years prior, Frankie had a different friend named Ryan who emptied out his bank account and purchased Frankie in order to save him from a scary and uncertain fate. Ryan turned to Red Bucket to take care of Frankie and keep him safe while he awaited a forever family of his own! While Louis and his family will continue to grieve for the loss of Elliot, Louis and Frankie are forging a new friendship…and a new family of their own. We aren’t sure whether it was Louis’s welcoming whinny, or Frankie…who felt needed, and marched up to the fence to meet his new BFF…that touched us more. We do know that Frankie was filled with a new self-importance, and seemed to know that he was specially hand picked to help Louis mend his broken heart. Please join us in wishing Louis, Frankie and their forever family happy wishes…and thank real friends like Ryan who help link arms in keeping horses safe…and making precious dreams come true!
