Red Bucket Equine Rescue Forever Homes Found #54 Goliath and #55 Dustin

Unwanted? We don’t think so. This morning, the day after Thanksgiving, our unannounced field visit found our two newest adoptees sharing a fresh pile of orchard hay, both with clean shavings clinging to their otherwise spotless coats, both sporting a holiday hair do complements of the children of the Hillcrest Pony club…Goliath with a stud braid, and Dustin with a more subtle forelock braid. Most notably, both happy and relaxed. Only a month ago, Goliath was pushy and completely disrespectful to boundaries, almost daring us to mistreat…….or reject him. Dustin was tentative, as if questioning if he even had the right to exist. Today, they aren’t just existing…they are thriving, they are wanted…they are home. Across the street from the loving, safe, and spotlessly maintained new Hillcrest forever home of Merriweather, Tinker Bell, Goliath and Dustin on our little red ranch, we continue our work…saving, restoring trust, and re-homing the horses that come to us to receive the gift of a second chance. Welcome home Goliath and Dustin….and welcome to your happily ever after!
