With Hanukkah safely tucked away for a year…and the countdown to Christmas a week away, we  celebrate all of the lucky horses who now have a home for the Holidays. Red Bucket  joyfully celebrates 92 forever homes found, the horses that we have served, and the adopters who tuck them in every night, pinching themselves….grateful for the soft warm nickers, huge hearts, and loyal friendships. Wyat…t had been hours from euthanasia after he was found wandering the streets, injured, hungry and frightened. With a heart and character too big to be measured this a well trained and sound love bug was easy to place…but, we waited for the perfect match. This coming Christmas morning and every future Christmas, Wyatt will wake up with his two best buddies (Gulliver, adopted from Red Bucket earlier this year) and Molly, who is his world. For Wyatt and Gulliver, fear, pain, hunger, and uncertainty have been replaced with a nurturing fulfillment that can be perhaps truly only appreciated when it has been longed for so intensely, without the hope of ever savoring it. Happy Holidays to all of the horses that now have homes……..and for those we have not yet been able to help……we are coming.
