We are counting down the days…or maybe the hours…awaiting the arrival of JuJu’s foal. Barely just a baby herself, pregnant, and feral, JuJu was rescued from a livestock auction that sells horses by the pound for meat. Safe now, JuJu has settled into domestic life and now leads like a little lady, loves her bedding, adores being groomed…and even had her very first hoof trim! With proper prenatal nutrition on board…all we are doing is waiting for that yellow “Baby on Board” sign to go up, and judging from JuJu’s tummy we won’t have to wait very much longer. JuJu is safe and her baby will be born a wanted horse…and will never know the terror that her sweet mother endured…or the agony that he or she most narrowly escaped. What do you think…filly or colt? Spots or no spots? Do you have a darling name to recommend?
