If blowing loud raspberries all day long, bringing giggles and smiles to peoples’ faces make a day feel “HAPPY”, light and fun, then this is the horse for you! Meet Red Bucket’s September Horse Highlight’s gorgeous personality- plus girl, Josie Mae, a real Miss Congeniality contest winner hands down if there ever was an equine contest! A very HAPPY HORSE indeed…Sometimes the horses that make their way to Red Bucket do not come in the conventional way through abuse and misuse. This month’s beautiful girl came from a loving home where the owner became seriously ill and could no longer afford to pay her horse’s board. Wanting to do the right thing for this very sweet equine and going through the proper channels of communication, Red Bucket was able to extend the loving hand of rescue to Josie Mae and two of her other stable mates about a year ago.
“Josie Mae is a sweet and beautiful bay mare who can make you smile just by walking down the barn aisle and listening to her blow loud, goofy raspberry kisses at everyone!” according to Susan Peirce. She is known and loved by the volunteers throughout the Ranch as being kind, loving, affectionate and makes everyone laugh at her silly antics of pursing her lips together and creating hilarious sound effects. Josie Mae is a big Quarter Horse cross with a darling face and winning way about her. She seems to have already been blessed more than once in her lifetime as dearly loved and cherished.
While Red Bucket volunteers do not tend to have “favorites” among the horses in the barn, Josie Mae makes it hard not to want to break out into a huge grin every time one of them sees her. She is the kind of horse who loves being around people, and she thoroughly loves her grooming time. Josie Mae is constantly in a happy mood. Everyone is her friend
We know that the perfect match is out there somewhere just waiting to be found, and Josie Mae is eager to meet and greet you! She is suitable for light riding and most of all Miss Josie Mae is ready to finally find a loving and forever place to call her very own happy home!
