Round the clock really means round the clock at Red Bucket! We have had to laugh at ourselves a bit while taking our foaling responsibilities very seriously. Leoni is very close to foaling, and while she has not started to wax yet, all other symptoms point to a 48-hour window. We literally are not taking our eyes off of her, and when our “Red Bucket Mommy Cam” captured a few (some we absolutely would never post) impromptu shots of night-time checks, we have had to chuckle. We are definitely a few months away from our other mares’ due dates…but this one is literally just around the corner. Today Leoni will have a spa day, a sunny turnout (rolling will be optional) and a slow, rambling walk. Tonight we will be ready…and now that we know the power of the camera, we will at a minimum be wearing a Red Bucket polo! Stay tuned for the birth, we plan to film it! This baby will be Leoni’s last foal and we intend to make sure that it is healthy, happy and safe…and we will make sure that Leoni thoroughly enjoys her motherhood!
