It is hard to believe that only a few weeks ago we were weak with concern and fear. This forgotten mare and her inconsequential foal were walking the tight rope between possible despair and the glimmer of survival. Today is a new day, and the future for Mathe and her mother Darcy is laced with the promise of more sunny play dates and peaceful lunches in “Finbar’s Turn out”. Both Mathe and Darcy’s world have slowly become larger. Next week we will integrate these two beauties with Darla and McGarrah and Marlee and Kami. We can’t wait for the three mares to share their enrichment time watching their three filly’s race and romp together. As for the Red Riding Hoods, we celebrate every second of our beautiful work.
