We have had so much interest and support for the three stunning slaughter bound mustangs that we were able to rescue last week, we wanted to share their arrival with you. They were safely transported to our quarantine location late Saturday… (many thanks to Marlene Dodge), and while they had hay waiting for them, they were more interested in “getting the kinks out” after a seven hour trailer ride, and exploring their new temporary home. They seemed genuinely shocked when the trailer door swung open and they stepped into paradise. While it was reminiscent of Dorothy arriving at OZ after a deadly tornado, the storm that these boys escaped was not a work of fiction, but a brutal and deadly reality. This morning they are roaming a safe pasture still looking a bit bewildered that something so wonderful, peaceful and compassionate has happened to them. We are delighted to welcome Durham, Reynolds, and Foster to the rest of their lives and their very own “happily ever after” thank you to all who make our work possible, we couldn’t do this without your generosity.
