Ranch Closure

Dear Red Bucket Family & Community,

In this time of uncertainty and as Coronavirus (COVID-19) cases continue to increase, on behalf of our Leadership Team, we would like to thank our selfless team and generous donors for your service and support of our lifesaving work.

We have long stated that our work is possible because of you, and that it is in linking arms toward the common goal of serving our horses, one another, and our community that allows us to have an impenetrable impact on equine welfare.

For the first time in our eleven-year history we will be closed to the public. That said, we have implemented immediate changes in great effort to allow for the continued gold standard of care for our Treasured Residents while adhering to COVID-19 public health guidance around social distancing to ensure the safety of our team.

As an animal welfare organization, Red Bucket is in full compliance with all government and local health orders, including the statewide stay-at-home order. We are taking our responsibility seriously and prioritizing the safety of our horses while taking every precaution to safeguard the health and well-being of essential personnel and team members required to operate our lifesaving business.

All tours, team member enrichment programs (e.g., Curry Comb Club, etc.), new team member orientations, Jr. Reds meetings, and adoption activities are temporarily suspended. We are grateful for the support & generosity of our Red Bucket Family in navigating this uncertain and difficult time.

More than any other time, we are reliant on the generosity of others in order to be able to continue our lifesaving work.

Please let us be reminded that Social Distancing does not mean Emotional Distancing. We look forward to staying connected with you all, as you are important to us, and we know that our Treasured Residents and Red Bucket Family are important to you.

With profound gratitude,
Susan Peirce, Board Members & Leadership Team
