We seem to be overwhelmed with malnourished, neglected and abused horses this week. We are grateful to have rescued four within a 24-hour period. Karlynn was saved because good people do exist, and in this case Karlynn found a friend and Guardian Angel that she has not met yet, but he was unwilling to turn his back, and he didn’t. Because of him, Karlynn will learn that people can be trusted, and that they can now be counted on to protect her. We have no words for the unacceptable abuse that this lovely horse endured before she came through our gates. In her short lifetime, Karlynn has been raced, starved, beaten…and betrayed. And if you are wondering, yes…they were still riding her in this present condition. We do have something to say now that she is here at Red Bucket…she is safe, she will always be safe, and that is more than just words; it is a promise that we take very seriously. Karlynn will never be hungry, scared, or hurt…ever. We still believe that goodness will prevail, and we thank all those who support our lifesaving work!
