Spring has arrived…and so have our new girls! They have collectively shaken off the distress of their recent ordeal, taken a deep breath, and delighted in a few good long rolls in our back pasture, shedding both the remnants of fear and the trepidation of uncertainty. They are, from left to right: Tilly, with a nod of profound gratitude to John and Karen for their continued generosity and support. Tilly is the leader of the three, the most assertive, and clearly carrying the responsibility of establishing herself as the protector; Molly, the pleaser and nurturer, is outwardly and actively seeking approval and acceptance; and Miss Kitty, who reminds us of another by the same name. Miss Kitty is elegant. We believe that she had been a show horse in another life. She carries dignity and a standard of excellence for herself that translates well beyond her carriage and gentle temperament. We are still in the process of learning about them…and welcoming them to a ranch that they now own. Many sincere thanks to all who have contributed toward their safety, and their lives!
