For those of you cheering for Windy from the sidelines, please take note…Windy and her soon to be new BFF are beginning the process of building a relationship. We are always empathic to the feelings of our animals as they transition to new homes There is always loss, such as Joey’s little brays as Windy was loaded onto the trailer. We never overlook the fact that all equine are herd based, and therefore very relationship based. There has been recent loss for Curly, who recently experienced the pain of losing her partner and fellow donkey, it was Curly’s grief that led Kate to find Curly a new companion. Now Curly and Windy will begin to form a bond of their own, and new little herd. Thank goodness, it is off to a wonderful fresh start!
