Here is our weekly Winni update for all of our friends who keep asking about our special baby: Little Winni is now 2 weeks old. Like any little girl, she loves everything PINK. Winni’s choice of color is a little awkward given that the name of this game….is Red! Having said this, her pink little newborn halter is adorable. Winni is learning to lead nicely (with the help from a butt rope and her very patient Mamma horse) and she is learning to stand in one spot (sort of) to be groomed….especially if we throw in a good scratch on her little bum! She is very proud of the fact that she can pick up her little hooves just like her mom. She is delighting us daily with both her precious…and precocious personality. We try not to laugh when she becomes too opinionated, which is either demonstrated by a flurry of little bucks (aka a filly temper tantrum) or pawing which is equally ridiculous and hysterically adorable. She definitely thinks that she is a big girl now, and loves to plunge into Nalah’s bucket of Mare & Foal. She continues to practice eating hay beside her mum…only this week she is sporting brand new baby teeth…which she loves to proudly show off by sticking her perfect little lip up to give us a peek! Clearly we adore her and are over the moon that she is safe…and will have a wonderful future. There will certainly be more updates to come…
