“Saving one horse wont change the world, but for that one horse, the whole world changes…” We still can’t wrap our heads around the amount of suffering, pain and neglect that our American horses endure….the tragedy that faces 100,000 of our horses each year at slaughter, or the tens of thousands of horses that are starved and abused. We are grateful to be able to do our small part to change the world of the horses entrusted to our care. Today, we welcome Marigold, a beautiful paint mare who was brought to us by the Ventura Humane Society. They wanted her to have the kind of chance…the second chance that our program provides. Formerly desperate, starving and abused, Marigold now joins our growing community committed to making a difference…and changing the world for one more horse.
