His tragic story is heartbreaking…he had been loved once, by a young girl who was arguably his best friend. She rode him everywhere…until she got into a bit of trouble. Her parents, wanting to teach her a lesson, sold the horse (her friend…her pet) at an auction frequented by kill buyers. It was reported to us that they sent her away, too. While he dodged the proverbial bullet, he transitioned from loved and wanted…to unwanted. We think that there is an awful lot to want about this 13 year old dead broke, extraordinary gelding. We are also pretty darned sure that Scout will once again know love, safety and friendship…only this time, if we have anything to say about it ( and we do ), it will be forever. Welcome Scout!
