He was first introduced to the world via internet as ” Ace “, and his little face haunted us. We silently monitored the activity that falsely represented rescue, until it became alarmingly clear that th…is little forlorn and unwanted horse was not safe….he was in harms way. We brought him home, to the ranch that the horses own, and vowed to protect and care for him. In keeping with the tradition of the Irish, Ellen named him Liam. We barely saw his darling face, or blue eye for his first two weeks, as he barely lifted his head out of his manger. He is rapidly gaining both weight and personality, he nickers for his bucket, and has a bounce in his step. We have had to gently correct his behavior, as he is starting to feel so good, that he forgets to wait until AFTER he is in his turn out to kick up his heels, and let us know…that he is feeling fantastic! Allow us to be very clear to those who may have had other plans for this little five year old, who could easily go under the name ” Sunshine “, Liam will not now…or ever be the victim of a back yard rodeo or any other dangerous activity, he is safe…and he is home. We watched him jig to his turn out this morning, his blue eye has a sparkle….and his rump is beginning to show a bit of roundness, and we are very happy to celebrate 140 horses saved!
