Red Bucket Equine Rescue #163- Bonnie

The Craig’s List add read “Desperate, lost my job……need to find a home for my little girls horse…”.
While hundreds of these adds are placed and answered with devastating consequences, this one
was circumvented by someone who cared. She educated him about what might happen, and he
called Red Bucket. The mare is a gentle horse, a child’s pet, her name is Bonnie. Like the 92.3% of
our American horses that find their way to slaughter, she is trained, sound, and healthy. Only
in this particular situation….she is safe!  We do not expect that we will have her long, she has merely
gently landed on the landing pad of Red Bucket with the promise of a second chance. Her little
girl, a six year old called her Bonnie Blue Jeans…we just all her lucky. Welcome Bonnie, we are glad
to facilitate your forever home…and grateful for every person, every human who help us help the
horses.
