He is stunning, well muscled with fabulous conformation, clean legs (yup, he’s sound), friendly and trained too,…..heck, his coat even gleams. When we first posted his picture, some of the Red Riding Hoods called him “eye candy”, perhaps we should say “eye opener”. He opened our eyes, to him and his two other buddies who we will have the privilege of introducing you to later this week. Somewhere along the line, something has become terribly off track…broken, that allows our beautiful American horses to be so callously discarded with no accountability and no consciousness. We are heartened to have so many of you join us in working to rewrite a shameful part of North American history (yes, Shane it is a problem that both our countries share). Durham is named in honor of a wonderful and generous family who has a deep love and respect for OUR horses…OUR mustangs, there eyes and hearts are open to our efforts, and we are humbled and deeply grateful. We welcome Durham to his new life, his second chance, and albeit small for now….a wee bit of a world where he is valued, safe and regarded. Our eyes will not be closed. Welcome Durham.
