The “It Takes A Village” adage certainly applies in the world of Equine Welfare. Foster, Durham, and Reynolds, our 3 stunning BLM Mustangs are being transported to a beautiful quarantine in Temecula this afternoon. Only a little over a week ago, they had been priced to sell to a prominent “kill buyer” for their meat. When we posted their plight and our commitment to save them, the response was immediate and overwhelming. Cindy Lee and The Wags And Menace Make A Difference Foundation stepped up the the plate (after just supporting the mares and foals) the day prior. The Durham family, in a continuous and generous act stepped forward with support, and many of our our facebook friends and family members sent donations. Shirley Puga helped with quarantine and transportation arrangements behind the scenes, The Shiloh foundation provided temporary refuge for the mares and babies, Marlene Dodge offered to help haul….and while the list is endless, dozens of dedicated “Red Riding Hoods”, support the large and complex operation of caring for and serving our horses. These horses belong to us all, thank you to all who help us save and serve. Thank you for making Foster’s second chance…and life possible. Please join us in welcoming Foster!
