She had been gathered, and because she was over ten years of age, they didn’t count her….and she went into a ten dollar pen. Her name is Windy, and she is perhaps the gentlest, and kindest soul that w…e ever encountered. She became “nana” to our other wild donkeys, calming them with her friendly and gentle nature… and teaching them that treats are yummy, and people are kind. She was adopted and found her way to her new “forever home” as a companion and friend to Curly. One week ago today, her daughter, Liberty was born. While  Windy had a tough week and struggled with colic, today Mamma and baby are safe and thriving. We are counting them both…because they do!
