He was abandoned at the track, rescued, and then like so many…needed to be rescued again. He is a horse of course! And similar to the children’s books that make us smile regardless of our age, he …is charming, kind, and has maintained an innocence that makes us want to protect him. He came in thin, and we haven’t fully assessed him yet, other to be certain that he has a gentle benevolence and sweet eagerness to be noticed. We are told that he is willing to please under saddle, and brave on trail. This may well be more indicative of his character rather than his training. He demonstrates the gratitude of one rescued from a deserted island after a shipwreck…craving touch, but very shy about getting his needs met. We think that he is terrific, and while some things in life are uncertain, this deserving and gentle 14 year old horse will only change hands one more time, and that will be into the welcoming embrace of his forever home. Welcome Dr. Seuss!
