Red Bucket Equine Rescue Lola # 178 and Tiny Rescue #179

We have used too many words this week to try to explain the unexplainable. Perhaps we will allow the visual of our young mother Lola, and her very wee colt Ranger to stand on its own merit. Only a few days prior, they stood condemned to die in a most degrading and inhumane way. Yet those who will not tolerate our American horses being butchered and destroyed have spoken….with their wallets, their voices, and their hearts. Rather than shedding tears for what as “almost”, we are heartened that this gallant 4 year old mother, and her 1 month baby are safe, have a future and a life that was so nearly denied and destroyed. It is the greatest honor that we know, to give special acknowledgement to those who help us help the horse by the ritual of naming…and labeling the bucket. Our very littlest resident is named as a loving gesture to Shirley Puga who has saved….served …..and suffered so that the world will be a better place one horse at a time. Ranger. Thank you Shirley, on behalf of those of us who serve, and on behalf of those who wait.
