Shields and Scout Update

Our work has 3 parts: We rescue…abused, starving, and slaughter bound horses….all innocent victims with feelings and fears.  We intentionally retrain, lovingly rehabilitate and compassionately restore their shattered trust in humankind…. We re-home the horses when they are truly ready….matching them with loving forever homes dedicated to caring, loving, and protecting these special horses for the rest of their lives. While this sounds pretty darn great…it is actually so much better. The new Red Bucket families respond to the responsibility of providing a home in the most extraordinary of ways. Some of our families have actually sold their homes and moved in an effort to keep their horses with them in their yards, one family moved to another state to provide the opportunity of year round pasture. The list is endless, and it is accented with sacrifice, respect, adoration…and love. Shields (in front, a bit bossy, blocking his bff) and Scout (perfectly content to stand behind the shadow…and strength of his bff) both adopted by Nina, enjoy the enrichment in their new turn out, that she provided for her horses. They, like 78 other Red Bucket horses have found their second chance, their forever family…HOME.
