URGENT!!!!
A Nevada breeder has dumped 13 VERY pregnant Quarter mares, 2 draft cross geldings, and a colt at the auction yard in Fallon. This auction sells horses…and pregnant mares to the kill buyers who illegally ship the horses over the border to horrific and barbaric deaths. We are partnering with other credible rescuers and are desperately trying to raise the bail for all of the horses (about $450), Coggins and health certificate (about $80), Brand inspection ($20) and hauling (possibly a few hundred dollars per horse) which will depend on the number of horses and the route….the most pregnant mares will need to be delivered first. These mares are malnourished and will require groceries, and veterinary care. The auction is this afternoon and we want to make sure that they are safe. Red Bucket will be bringing two of the most pregnant mares to our ranch, and will fully commit to them and their babies. Please help us help the horses, every little bit counts…cross post and tell your like minded and kind hearted friends. Thank you for caring about our American horses…they are counting on us! We will update you later this afternoon. Please go to our website and donate now.
Update 1:
In less than 1 hour, we currently have $440 pledged to help the horses…please share the post and let’s get them all…If we can raise $19,200, we can save the horses without depleting scarce funds from the already strapped rescues!
Update 2:
Thank you all for you concern. Our day end goal is to raise $11,450 (revised from our original post). Our combined efforts have resulted in placement for all of the horses, including three additional yearlings. We really need help raising money to FUND the rescue so that the equine rescues are not overly burdened and can take care of the horses that they are committing to. Please please share this update with an with your friends and clarify that a joint rescue to save all the horses is currently underway. Please emphasize the importance of the $20 donation…..100 of them is nearly 25% of of our goal! Every small gift helps us help the horses they really add up!
