Red Bucket Equine Rescue # 146- Grande

We have heard similar stories before. We just can’t seem to wrap our heads around the scenario: Grande, an imported Grand Prix Oldenburg, a once prized athlete, companion….friend is now unwanted. He …came to us with a rough coat, far too many visible ribs, and necrotic and neglected feet. He also came to us with a giant heart, gentle manners….and perhaps most heartwarming, the genuine gratitude that we see in the horses who come to us for refuge, an infusion of self-worth,  and a second chance. Oh, he also came to us pretty darn sound, with a hopeful attitude of wanting to be useful…and valued.  This morning, he is enjoying his enrichment time in a sunny paddock with Jack and a new buddy that we will introduce later this week. This afternoon, he will have some much needed spa time complete with clippers and product! We welcome Grande, and are grateful to love him for the time being, and help facilitate his happily ever after!
